Steve Rae, Oil industry expert and survivor of the Piper Alpha disaster, gave a moving and powerful introduction to our Piper Alpha Open Day. Steve talked about his experiences on the platform and how he has used his miraculous escape to help others around the world. In this 30th anniversary year of the disaster we took another detailed look at what has been learnt and the hazards that will always need to be managed.
