One of our portfolio pieces made a return this week as part of a 2 day safety conference in Edinburgh. Fukushima, based on the infamous nuclear disaster which occurred due to a tsunami in 2011, is a careful study of the failings of the company operating the nuclear site, and some of the measures taken by those that were there to minimise disaster. Their efforts were successful, with no deaths or cases of radiation sickness amongst the general population. Fukushima is a disaster which will take up to 40 years to clean up, and by looking at the decisions & consequences around the disaster, we can hopefully avoid another nuclear catastrophe.
